Course overview

This course will help you understand hepatitis and its different types, as well as the symptoms, modes of transmission, and treatment options associated with each. It will also provide you with insight into the stigma and discrimination surrounding viral hepatitis.

You will be introduced to the role of vaccination in reducing the transmission of viral hepatitis and who may benefit from this. Finally, you will learn the importance of following agreed ways of working regarding infection control and how to respond to an inoculation incident.
