Course overview

This course will provide you with an understanding of what safeguarding is (including the 3 Stage Test and Section 42 Enquiries) and the responsibilities you have in safeguarding the individuals your organisation supports. It will also provide you with insight into the different types of abuse and their indicators, the risks around technology and abuse, and the importance of safeguarding learning and development for your staff. You will be introduced to the legislation that underpins safeguarding in the Health and Social Care Sector, the importance of promoting human rights, and the role of policies and procedures.

Finally, you will learn how to respond to suspicions or disclosures of abuse, including how to accurately build a report and raise your concerns.
