Multiple Sclerosis Overview

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a lifelong condition that affects the brain and spinal cord, leading to a range of symptoms that can vary from mild to life-altering. Our course gives health and social care professionals the knowledge they need to support individuals living with MS, including how the condition progresses, common symptoms, and treatment options.

Split into two focused units, learners will explore what MS is, how it’s diagnosed, and how to provide informed, person-centred care. Topics include types of MS, causes, and the role of assistive technology and multi-disciplinary teams in supporting quality of life. The course is CPD-certified, ideal for anyone in a care or support role, and includes a final knowledge check to reinforce learning and support development.
