Pain Management Overview

Pain can be complex, subjective, and difficult to detect, especially in individuals who may struggle to communicate their discomfort. Our pain management course explores the nature of pain, how it presents physically and emotionally, and how health and social care professionals can assess and manage it effectively across a range of settings.

Through three focused units, learners will explore how to identify signs of pain, apply assessment methods, and understand pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. The course also covers the challenges of living with chronic pain and the importance of holistic, person-centred support, including for those receiving end of life care. Fully CPD-certified and available online, our course is ideal for care workers and support staff looking to strengthen their understanding and confidence in pain management.
