Standard 3: Duty of Care

This course will help you understand your duty of care and how to uphold it through your practice.

Standard 3: Duty of Care Overview

This course will help you understand your duty of care and how to uphold it through your practice. It will also provide insight into managing dilemmas where your duty of care seems to contradict an individual’s right to make their own choices. You will also learn about adverse events, incidents, errors, or near misses and how to minimise the risk of these occurring.

The Care Certificate e-Learning modules are designed to help you demonstrate knowledge and collect evidence required to complete the Care Certificate. These standards are the foundation of knowledge you need before you can work alone with the individuals you will be supporting. Some information included in this course has been sourced from Skills for Care.
