This course will provide you with an understanding of what safeguarding is (including the 3 Stage Test) and the responsibilities you have in safeguarding the individuals you support. It will also provide you with insight into the different types of abuse and their indicators, as well as the risks around technology and abuse. You will be introduced to the legislation that underpins safeguarding in the Health and Social Care Sector, the importance of promoting human rights, and the role of policies and procedures.
Finally, you will learn how to respond to suspicions or disclosures of abuse, including how to accurately record and correctly report your concerns.
